Interstellar (Interstices)
In Interstices (Interstellar), mineral thin-sections of deposits from different regions of Canada are photographed under cross-polarized light using a microscope, resulting in patterns and colours resembling views of outer space and galaxies.
This series underlines connections between the elemental composition of the human body and the Earth, and the interconnectedness of the Earth and the Cosmos, examining our place within the spectrum of the infinitely small to the infinitely large.
